The FOX® 985-02-018 2.0 Performance Series Coil-Over IFP Shock is a front, individually-sold coilover shock featuring a 2.0″ clear-anodized aluminum body, adjustable spring preload rings, and 4.29″ of travel, built for 2007-2020 Chevrolet and GMC 1500-series trucks and SUVs listed below.
IMPORTANT: This SKU is sold individually — one shock, driver or passenger side. Two units are required to complete a front axle installation. Adjustable front lift height differs by model year: 2007-2013 model year vehicles are rated for 0″-2″ of adjustable front lift, while 2014 and newer model year vehicles are rated for 0″-1″ of adjustable front lift. This is a front shock only; a companion rear shock is required to complete the suspension and is sold separately.
This bolt-on Performance Series Coil-Over IFP shock levels your truck front-to-rear with no vehicle modification required. Applications are available for stock-height trucks and for trucks already lifted that are re-using the stock shock mount, giving installers a direct, hassle-free replacement.
Inside, an internal reservoir with Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design keeps shock oil separated from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber, eliminating oil aeration so the factory-tuned, application-specific valving performs at its best. The precision, impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body increases cooling capacity and resists rust over time, and the vehicle-specific upper mount uses a composite bushing to isolate noise and vibration. Locking spring preload rings allow easy ride height and preload adjustment, retaining a top-quality racing coil selected to deliver the optimal spring rate.
Construction includes a 5/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft, a race-developed high-flow piston, and a redundant sealing pack system (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal) paired with large-diameter, heavy-duty spherical bearings for long service life. The 2.0″ body is CNC-machined and black-anodized on internal components, with a clear-anodized finish on the shock body itself. FOX backs this shock with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

This FOX® 2.0 Performance Series Coil-Over IFP Shock (985-02-018) is a front application for the following vehicles. 2007-2013 model year vehicles are rated for 0″-2″ of adjustable front lift; 2014 and newer model year vehicles are rated for 0″-1″ of adjustable front lift. This is a front-only shock — a matching rear shock is required to complete the suspension and is not included.
