The FOX® 985-62-002 is a 2.0 Performance Series Snap Ring Coil-Over IFP front shock for 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, plus 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD and GMC Sierra 1500 Limited (carryover pre-redesign trucks), delivering 0″-2″ of front lift while reusing your factory spring and mounting hardware.
IMPORTANT: This shock does not include a replacement spring – it reuses your stock spring via a new custom-molded spring seat, along with your factory mounting hardware. Three predetermined preload settings allow a choice of 0″, 1″, or 2″ of front lift. This is an individual (single) shock, sold one per package – order two for a complete front pair. For model year 2019 specifically: this SKU fits the carryover “Silverado 1500 LD” and “Sierra 1500 Limited” trucks only, not the redesigned 2019+ Silverado 1500 / Sierra 1500 – verify your exact 2019 model badge before ordering, as GM sold both truck generations that year.
This is a bolt-on FOX® Performance Series 2.0 Coil-Over Snap Ring IFP shock, built for owners who want improved on- and off-road damping without swapping out their stock spring. The precision, impact-extruded aluminum body is lightweight and resists rust over time.
Inside the shock is an internal nitrogen-charged gas reservoir, isolated by an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) that keeps the charged gas separate from the shock oil. This eliminates the oil aeration that can occur in the stock twin-tube shock, allowing the factory-tuned, application-specific valving to perform at its best across a wide range of conditions.
The shock body is 2.0″ impact-extruded and CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a clear-anodized finish, paired with a 5/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft. A redundant sealing pack – main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal – combines with large-diameter, heavy-duty spherical bearings for long service life. This shock is backed by a FOX® Limited Lifetime Warranty.
