The FOX® Performance Series 2.0 shock, part number 980-26-968, is a 9.62″ travel, smooth-body Front shock with an external reservoir, engineered for front-position applications at 7″-9″ of lift on Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD, GMC Sierra 2500 HD, GMC Sierra 3500 HD trucks covering 2011-2019.
IMPORTANT: Not for use with lift kits that change OE mounts. Designed for torsion-drop lift setups only. This part number covers 7″-9″ of lift only. FOX® offers this same front-position application at other lift heights under separate part numbers: 980-24-968 (7″-9″ of lift (same lift height as this listing, standard non-adjustable version — make sure you’re ordering the version you want)); 980-24-964 (0″-1″ of lift); 980-24-966 (4″-5″ of lift); 985-24-191 (1.5″-3.5″ of lift). This is FOX®’s aluminum-bodied Performance Series 2.0 Reservoir smooth body shock, built to deliver race-proven damping performance in a bolt-on, hassle-free package. The impact-extruded, clear-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum shock body sheds heat faster than a conventional steel-body shock, helping stabilize damping performance on long, rough runs.
The external reservoir adds oil and nitrogen capacity for consistent damping under load, and this unit includes an 8-position compression damping (CD) adjuster so the ride can be fine-tuned from the shock body without disassembly. The black-anodized reservoir clamp and adjuster components are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum.
The 9.62″ shaft is 5/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel, paired with FOX®’s race-developed high-flow piston and application-specific valving for predictable ride quality across rough terrain. A redundant sealing pack (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal) protects the internals. Every FOX® Performance Series 2.0 shock is backed by FOX®’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
