The FOX® 2.0 Performance Series smooth body reservoir shock is a direct bolt-on replacement shock built around a 2.0 in. impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body. The aluminum construction resists corrosion and dissipates heat faster than a conventional steel-bodied shock, helping maintain consistent damping performance under sustained off-road or highway loads.

An external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity beyond what the shock body alone can hold, supporting more consistent damping control over long or repeated bumps. The reservoir is joined to the shock body with an included black-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum clamp. Inside, a race-developed high-flow piston is paired with application-specific valving tuned for this vehicle platform, and a redundant sealing pack – main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal – keeps contamination out of the damping circuit.

This shock is built on FOX®’s CD (Compression Damping) adjustable platform, allowing the compression circuit to be tuned across multiple clicks of low-speed compression adjustment to match ride preference or load conditions without removing the shock from the vehicle.

The shock shaft is 5/8 in. hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel for wear resistance, and all reservoir hardware is CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum with a black-anodized finish. The shock body carries a clear-anodized finish for corrosion resistance. FOX® backs this shock with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
