Part number 985-24-116 is a FOX® 2.0 Performance Series Smooth Body Remote Reservoir rear shock, sold individually, engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma trucks running 0–1.5 inches of rear lift.
IMPORTANT: This shock fits 6-lug versions of the Toyota Tacoma only. It includes the billet reservoir mounting clamp. FOX® also offers part number 987-24-026, a 2.5 Performance Series rear shock without an external reservoir, for the same 2005–2023 Tacoma generation — confirm which reservoir configuration you want before ordering, as the two are not interchangeable.
The aluminum-bodied Performance Series 2.0 Reservoir smooth body shock delivers FOX®’s race-proven performance in an affordable, hassle-free bolt-on package. Its heat-reducing design includes a metal-impacted, clear-anodized aluminum shock body that dissipates heat faster than a conventional steel-body shock.
The external reservoir allows for increased oil and nitrogen capacity while delivering a distinctive race look. The included black-anodized reservoir mounting clamp and other components are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum.
The race-developed, high-flow damping piston matched with application-specific valving gives the Performance Series 2.0 Reservoir shock predictable ride quality capable of handling the roughest road conditions. FOX® backs this shock with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
