FOX® Performance Elite Series 2.5 Reservoir shocks are engineered to deliver enhanced ride quality and precise control on and off the pavement. Their design lineage traces directly to FOX®’s off-road race shocks, translating proven competition technology into a bolt-on application for heavy-duty trucks. The external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity for more consistent damping performance under sustained off-road use, while also providing a distinct race-ready appearance.

At the core of the Performance Elite Series is a race-developed, high-flow piston paired with application-specific valving tuned for the F-250 and F-350 Super Duty platform. The 2.5-inch smooth bore, honed seamless alloy reservoir is equipped with a Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster, allowing the driver to independently tune low-speed and high-speed compression damping to suit load conditions, terrain, and personal preference. Remote reservoirs are positioned to clear aggressive tires at full steering lock.

The shock body is constructed from 2.5-inch impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard anodized finish for long-term corrosion resistance. The 7/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft resists wear and bending under demanding conditions. PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel spherical bearings are used at the mounting points, and a redundant sealing pack — combining a main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal — ensures consistent fluid retention over the life of the shock. FOX® backs the 2.5 Performance Elite Series purchased after 3/30/2025 with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use on the vehicle application for which the product was designed.
