Hawk Performance® HB609B.572 HPS 5.0 brake pads are a front brake pad set for 2007-2017 Audi R8, 2007-2013 Audi RS4, 2003 and 2013-2015 Audi RS5 and 2000-2004 Audi RS6, in the HB609 pad shape at 0.572 in thick. The box contains one axle set (2-wheel set) of Hawk Performance® HPS 5.0 brake pads.
IMPORTANT: These are front pads. Fitment: Audi R8 2007-2012, 2014-2015, 2017; Audi RS4 2007-2008, 2013; Audi RS5 2003, 2013-2015; Audi RS6 2000, 2003-2004 (trims and limits in the fitment table). Hawk Performance® notes build-date, brake, equipment or caliper details for some vehicles; those are shown in the fitment table. Hawk Performance® lists the R8 (including the 2012 R8 GT and GT Spyder) and RS5 only without ceramic composite brakes. These pads will not work on a car fitted with carbon ceramic brakes. All Hawk Performance® compounds are not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. Hawk Performance® pads are designed to work with iron/metal rotors. Hawk Performance® High Performance Street 5.0 pads give your vehicle the greatest stopping power and pedal feel without compromising ABS. HPS 5.0 is a Ferro-Carbon compound that provides advanced braking characteristics to enhance the driving experience. This compound combines the safety and quality of aerospace design with the braking technology of motorsports. The results are shorter stopping distances, improved performance under heavy braking conditions, and street car friendly characteristics.
Hawk Performance® lists these HPS 5.0 characteristics: aggressive torque, great rotor and pad wear life, smooth and predictable control, high deceleration rates, and consistent brake release characteristics for a smooth braking feel. Hawk Performance® rates HPS 5.0 for 100-750 F operating temperatures, with a 100-550 F optimal temperature range.
HB609B.572 uses the HB609 pad shape at 0.572 in thick, measuring 3.83 in x 2.92 in (97 mm x 74 mm), with FMSI reference D1029. Dimensions are taken from the Hawk Performance® factory diagram. Hawk Performance® also cross-references the HB609 shape to these aftermarket calipers: Brembo Caliper Family G, Rotora RF801, Rotora FC8.
Hawk Performance® pads are covered by the Hawk Performance® Street Performance Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty excludes normal wear and damage from negligence, lack of maintenance, accident, abnormal operation, or improper installation or service. Claims are processed through Hawk Performance®, and approved claims are replaced or reimbursed with Hawk Performance® pads of equal or greater value.
