The Hawk Performance® HB916B.740 is a High Performance Street 5.0 (HPS 5.0) front brake pad set, 0.740 in. thick, for the front axle of 2020-2024 Toyota GR Supra and 2016-2021 BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series Gran Turismo, 7 Series, 8 Series, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7 and Z4 models. It is sold as one axle set (2-wheel set) and includes the brake pads for one axle; hardware, clips, shims and wear sensors are not listed as included.
IMPORTANT: All Hawk Performance® compounds are not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. Hawk Performance® pads are designed to work with Iron/Metal rotors. Do not install these pads on a vehicle with carbon ceramic rotors. This is a front pad. BMW fitment depends on the front caliper finish: many 3 Series, 5 Series, X3, X4 and Z4 entries are listed with the Blue Painted Caliper, 7 Series entries with the Non-Painted Caliper, and several X5 and X7 entries exclude the Blue Painted Caliper. Several entries also carry build-date limits (07/2017, 11/2016, 07/2020, 08/2020). Check the fitment table below for your trim, caliper and build date. This listing is for the HPS 5.0 compound only. High Performance Street 5.0 pads give your vehicle the greatest stopping power and pedal feel without compromising ABS. HPS 5.0 is a Ferro-Carbon compound that provides advanced braking characteristics to enhance the driving experience.
This compound combines the safety and quality of aerospace design with the braking technology of motorsports. The results are shorter stopping distances, improved performance under heavy braking conditions, and street car friendly characteristics. Hawk Performance® rates HPS 5.0 for an operating temperature range of 100-750 F, with an optimal range of 100-550 F.
This pad set is covered by the Hawk Performance® Street Performance Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty excludes normal wear and damage caused by negligence, lack of maintenance, accident, abnormal operation, or improper installation or service. Warranty claims are processed through Hawk Performance®, and approved claims are replaced or reimbursed with Hawk Performance® pads of equal or greater value.
