The Hawk Performance® HB688Z.710 is a Performance Ceramic street pad for big brake kits and aftermarket calipers that use the HB688 shape. It is aimed at street-driven cars running these calipers, where a quiet, clean pad is wanted instead of a race compound.
Performance Ceramic is the Hawk Performance® ceramic street compound. Hawk Performance® describes it as extremely quiet and ultra-low dust, with improved stopping power and stable friction output, and gentle on rotors for extended pad life.
Each pad uses the HB688 backing plate shape at .710 in (18 mm) total thickness, friction material included. Hawk Performance® designs these pads for iron rotors only. They are covered by the Hawk Performance® Street Performance Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty does not cover normal wear or damage caused by negligence, lack of maintenance, accident, abnormal operation, or improper installation or service. Claims are processed through Hawk Performance®, and valid claims are replaced or reimbursed with Hawk Performance® brake pads of equal or greater value.
