The AMP Research BedStep2 mounts just behind the cab, forward of the rear wheel, placing a solid step exactly where you need it to access toolboxes, equipment, and cargo in the bed. Unlike tailgate steps, the BedStep2 gives you a side-entry position that lets you reach further into the bed without climbing over the tailgate or stretching awkwardly from the bumper. The step can be installed on either the driver or passenger side of the truck, making it a flexible solution for how you work out of your truck.
The BedStep2 is engineered from high-strength aluminum alloy — a material chosen for its combination of structural rigidity and resistance to corrosion in all-weather use. Precision stainless steel pivot pins provide the step’s primary rotation point, delivering tight, rattle-free operation over years of daily use. Self-lubricating bushings throughout the pivot assembly eliminate the need for periodic maintenance, keeping the action smooth regardless of weather conditions.
Activation is entirely foot-operated — no handles, no buttons, no electronics. A downward nudge of your foot deploys the step, and a return nudge retracts it flush with the rocker line.
