The AMP Research® PowerStep™ Plug-N-Play Conversion Kit (76401-01A) is a vehicle-specific wiring harness designed to retrofit non-plug-and-play PowerStep electric running boards to full plug-and-play operation on 2009–2014 Ford F-150 and 2010–2014 Ford F-150 Raptor.
IMPORTANT: This kit is designed exclusively for AMP Research PowerStep electric running boards. It is not compatible with PowerStep XL, PowerStep Xtreme, BedStep, or BedStep2 products. Confirm your existing PowerStep installation is non-plug-and-play before purchasing. This kit fits 2009–2014 Ford F-150 and 2010–2014 Ford F-150 Raptor only.

The conversion harness draws power and door-trigger signals directly from the vehicle’s standard OBD-II port located beneath the dashboard. No wire cutting, no splicing, and no dashboard disassembly is required. The OBD-II connection supplies both the power and the door-open signal needed to control step deployment and retraction, making the installation accessible to any owner comfortable with basic vehicle accessory work.
The harness is built to withstand the operating environment of an electric running board system. Connectors are weatherproof and heavy-duty to resist mud, water, and dirt intrusion. Integrated fuse holders protect the electrical circuit from overload damage. A corrugated split loom sheathing protects the wiring along its run from the OBD-II port to the step motors against abrasion and chafing.
