ARB® Safari VSPEC Snorkel SS56HF is a vehicle-specific air intake relocation system for the 2014–2021 Toyota Tundra equipped with the 5.7L V8 engine, routing the engine’s air supply from the vulnerable under-hood position to a high-mounted intake point on the right fender for a constant supply of cool, clean, dust-free, and water-free air.
IMPORTANT: Installation of the SS56HF requires cutting and drilling of the vehicle’s fender and A-pillar. A full installation template is included in the kit. This modification is permanent — confirm fitment and trim coverage below before purchasing. Installer must have moderate-to-high mechanical skill level. This snorkel fits the 5.7L V8 gas and flex-fuel Tundra only; it is not compatible with any other engine displacement or the third-generation (2022+) Tundra platform.
The ARB® Safari VSPEC Snorkel relocates the engine’s air intake from its factory position — low under the hood and exposed to dust, water, and heat soak — to a high-mounted position at the top of the A-pillar. At that elevation, air is measurably cooler, dramatically cleaner, and inaccessible to water during stream crossings or severe weather. The snorkel is engineered specifically for the second-generation Tundra, not adapted from a universal kit, meaning every mounting point, routing angle, and seal interface is purpose-built for this application.
ARB® designed the SS56HF using CAD modeling to achieve precise dimensional fit and seamless integration with the Tundra’s fender line and A-pillar geometry. The high-flow body and ducting are sized to deliver an air volume that exceeds the engine’s maximum demand, ensuring the intake system is never a restriction at any RPM or load. The raised intake position is also sealed for maximum resistance to dust ingestion during high-speed desert running and water ingestion during deep crossings.
The body is manufactured from UV-stable, cross-linked linear low-density polyethylene — the same material class used in applications requiring long-term outdoor durability without paint or coating. It will not fade, crack, or degrade from sun exposure. Hardware is included for mounting; the full installation template eliminates guesswork during fender and A-pillar modification. Fitment
The SS56HF is engineered exclusively for the second-generation Toyota Tundra (2014–2021) equipped with the 5.7L V8 engine in both gas and flex-fuel configurations.
