ARB® had the SS1080HF verified on a custom flow bench prior to release, confirming that its airflow meets or exceeds the factory intake system’s specifications. This means the snorkel does not restrict engine breathing under normal operating conditions—the driver gets the protection of a high-mounted intake with no performance trade-off at the filter. The LLDPE housing resists flexing under pressure, holds its shape in extreme temperature swings, and does not degrade with prolonged UV exposure the way lesser plastics do.
