FOX® 983-02-142 2.0 ATS (Adjustable Through Shaft) Factory Race Series steering stabilizer with a 1-1/2 inch tie rod clamp fits 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models.
IMPORTANT: This stabilizer is built for a 1-1/2 inch tie rod clamp diameter. FOX® also offers this ATS stabilizer sized for 1-5/8 inch tie rods (part number 983-02-146) and for stock and 1-3/8 inch tie rods (part number 983-02-145) – confirm your tie rod diameter before ordering, as none of these three clamp sizes are interchangeable.
Conventional steering stabilizers create a push-pull force as the shaft occupies more volume in one direction than the other, displacing oil and unevenly loading the system. the FOX® Factory Race Series 2.0 Stabilizer ATS eliminates this by using an Adjustable Through Shaft (ATS) architecture, which removes shaft fluid displacement throughout the stabilizer’s entire travel in both directions.
An external piggyback reservoir adds fluid capacity and uses an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) to separate shock oil from the nitrogen gas charge, preventing cavitation under hard use. An external adjuster provides 24 clicks of compression adjustment, letting you dial in steering feedback damping to your driving style and setup without removing the stabilizer from the vehicle.
The 2.0-inch metal-impacted, clear-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum body resists corrosion, while a 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft and a redundant sealing pack (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal) keep the unit protected in harsh off-road conditions. Application-specific mounting hardware is included, and FOX® backs the unit with the FOX® Limited Lifetime Warranty.
