IMPORTANT: This part number is built for the 2005-2016 Ford Super Duty platform only. It does not fit 2017 and newer Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty trucks; for those model years, the FOX® front Performance Series shocks for that generation are part numbers 985-24-161, 985-24-162, and 985-24-164 at differing lift heights. Confirm your truck’s model year before ordering.
The aluminum-bodied Performance Series 2.0 Reservoir shock delivers race-proven damping technology from FOX® in a bolt-on package. Its 2.0 inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body dissipates heat faster than a conventional steel-bodied shock, helping maintain consistent damping performance during sustained off-road use or towing.
An external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity beyond what a standard monotube shock can hold, further improving heat dissipation and fade resistance. The included universal mounting bracket and other components are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum for durability.
A race-developed high-flow damping piston paired with application-specific valving delivers predictable ride quality over rough terrain. The 5/8 inch shaft is hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel, sealed by a redundant sealing pack with main, wiper, and scraper seals, and the shock is backed by the FOX® Limited Lifetime Warranty.
