Description
The FOX® 985-24-101 2.0 Performance Series shock is an 11.12-inch travel, smooth-body front shock with an external remote reservoir, fitting 2005-2016 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks at 5.5-7in of front lift.
IMPORTANT: This shock is built for 5.5-7in of front lift. Trucks running a lower or higher front lift height require a different FOX® part number — confirm your exact lift height before ordering. FOX® direct-replacement smooth body shocks should always be installed as a pair for consistent handling.
The aluminum-bodied Performance Series 2.0 Reservoir smooth body shock delivers FOX’s race-developed damping performance in an affordable, hassle-free bolt-on package. Its heat-reducing design uses a metal-impacted, clear-anodized aluminum shock body that dissipates heat faster than a conventional steel-body shock.
The external reservoir adds oil and nitrogen capacity while giving the shock a distinct race look. The included black-anodized reservoir mounting clamp and other components are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. A race-developed high-flow damping piston matched with application-specific valving delivers predictable ride quality capable of handling rough road conditions.
The shock body is 2.0″ impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum that resists rust over time, with a clear-anodized finish for durability. The shaft is 5/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel, sealed with a redundant sealing pack system (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal). FOX® backs this shock with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
