Part number 985-62-000 is a FOX® 2.0 Performance Series Coil-Over Snap Ring IFP front shock, sold individually, engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for 2016–2023 Toyota Tacoma trucks running 0–1 inch of front lift.
IMPORTANT: This shock does not include a spring — it reuses your stock spring and mounting hardware. It is not compatible with TRD Pro springs, and fits 6-lug versions of the Toyota Tacoma only. FOX® also offers part number 985-02-002, a standard 2.0 Performance Series IFP coilover with a new spring, for these same 2016–2023 Tacoma trucks. These two part numbers are not interchangeable — confirm which configuration matches your intended spring setup before ordering.
This Performance Series 2.0 Coil-Over Snap Ring IFP shock is a bolt-on solution featuring a custom-molded spring seat that allows you to reuse your stock spring and mounting hardware, delivering excellent on- and off-road performance at an affordable price point. The precision, impact-extruded aluminum body is lightweight and rust resistant.
Inside the shock is an internal nitrogen-charged gas reservoir, contained by an internal floating piston (IFP) that separates the charged gas from the shock oil. The IFP eliminates the oil-and-nitrogen mixing possible with stock twin-tube shocks, allowing maximum performance from the factory-tuned precision valving. Three predetermined preload settings allow a choice of 0″, 1″, or 2″ of lift.
