The FOX® 985-02-006 is a 2.0 Performance Series 5.425in IFP Coilover Shock (Aluminum), a front-position, bolt-on unit for 0-2in of lift, fitting 2009-2013 Ford F-150 4WD models.

This bolt-on coilover shock upgrades the stock front suspension with no vehicle modifications required, using a precision, impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum body that increases cooling capacity versus the factory twin-tube design while resisting corrosion over time. The vehicle-specific upper mount uses a composite bushing to isolate noise and vibration from the cabin.
A locking, spring preload ring lets you fine-tune ride height and preload while retaining a racing-grade coil spring matched to the application’s ideal spring rate. This allows the truck to be leveled front-to-rear without altering the stock ride characteristics.
Inside, an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) mono-tube reservoir design keeps the shock oil fully separated from the nitrogen-charged gas chamber. Separating the two eliminates oil aeration under hard use, so the factory-tuned, application-specific valving keeps performing consistently whether on-road or off.
The body is built from impact-extruded, CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum with a clear-anodized finish for corrosion resistance, paired with a 5/8in hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft. A race-developed high-flow piston and a redundant sealing pack (main, wiper, and scraper seals) keep the unit performing over the long haul, backed by large-diameter, heavy-duty spherical bearings at the mounts. Every FOX® shock is fully serviceable and re-valveable, and this unit carries FOX®’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
