The FOX® 983-02-053 2.0 Performance Series IFP Coilover Shock is a bolt-on, front-position coilover engineered for 2004-2015 Nissan Titan trucks, delivering 0-2in. of lift on 4WD models and a 2in. lift on RWD models with no vehicle modifications required.
IMPORTANT: This SKU is the FOX® 2.0 Performance Series IFP coilover (non-reservoir). It is sold individually and should always be installed as a pair (qty. 2, one per side) for correct handling and ride characteristics. This is a different product line than the FOX® 2.5 Factory Series Coil-Over Reservoir shocks for the same Titan application (adjustable part number 883-06-120, non-adjustable part number 883-02-120); confirm the correct part number before ordering, as the reservoir-equipped shocks are not interchangeable with this listing.
This coilover replaces the factory front shock and spring assembly in one unit. The shock body is a precision, impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum one-piece design that improves heat dissipation and resists corrosion versus a conventional steel body, and the vehicle-specific upper mount uses a composite bushing to isolate noise and vibration from the cabin.
Locking spring preload rings allow the ride height and spring preload to be adjusted after installation, retaining a racing-spec coil spring matched to the application for a level front stance. The kit is designed for both stock-height and lifted trucks that reuse the stock shock mounting points.
Inside, an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design separates the shock oil from a nitrogen-charged gas chamber, preventing oil aeration so the factory-tuned, application-specific valving performs consistently under repeated hard use. CNC-machined internal components are black-anodized, the shaft is a 5/8in. hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel piece, and the shock uses a redundant seal pack (main, wiper, and scraper seals) with large-diameter, heavy-duty spherical bearings for long service life. FOX® backs this shock with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
