Description
The FOX® 985-02-135 is a 2.0 TS (Through Shaft) steering stabilizer with axle-mount top clamp, engineered for 2014-2026 Ram 2500 and 2013-2026 Ram 3500 4WD trucks.
IMPORTANT: This is the non-adjustable TS stabilizer, not to be confused with FOX® 983-02-158, the ATS (Adjustable Through Shaft) stabilizer for this same 2014-2026 Ram 2500 / 2013-2026 Ram 3500 application. Both use an axle-mount top clamp and cover the identical truck range, but 983-02-158 adds an external piggyback reservoir with a 24-click external damping adjuster; this TS version has no reservoir or external adjuster. Confirm which stabilizer your customer wants — adjustable (983-02-158) or standard (985-02-135) — before ordering, as the part numbers are easy to confuse but are not interchangeable.
Conventional steering stabilizers develop a push-or-pull force as the shaft displaces oil unevenly when turning in one direction, which is why many trucks run dual opposing stabilizers to cancel it out. Derived from FOX®’s original ATS stabilizer, the Performance Series 2.0 Stabilizer TS uses a Through Shaft (TS) architecture that eliminates shaft fluid displacement through the stabilizer’s full travel in both directions, delivering neutral, consistent damping of unwanted steering feedback from a single, bolt-on unit.
This design delivers steering control at a lower price point than FOX®’s adjustable ATS stabilizer, without the external reservoir or adjustable damping. It includes application-specific mounting hardware and is available in multiple clamp sizes for stock or aftermarket heavy-duty tie-rods.
The stabilizer body is 2.0″ impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 clear-anodized aluminum, and the black-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum components are matched to a 5/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft and a redundant sealing pack. The unit is backed by FOX®’s suspension product warranty.
