The FOX® 880-02-418 2.5 Factory Series Remote Reservoir Coilover Pair is a bolt-on front coilover shock set delivering 0-3in. of adjustable ride height for 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma trucks equipped with 6-lug wheels. Each coilover pairs a 2.5″ diameter zinc-plated body with an external remote reservoir for increased oil capacity, and the set includes two complete front strut and spring assemblies.
IMPORTANT: This coilover requires an aftermarket or extended-travel Upper Control Arm (UCA) for proper installation and full suspension travel — it is not designed to run on the factory upper control arm. This part number fits 6-lug Toyota Tacoma trucks only; 5-lug Tacoma models are not compatible.
FOX® Factory Series coilovers are direct bolt-on replacements engineered to provide improved damping across any terrain while suspending the weight of the vehicle. The integrated coil spring can be adjusted for preload and ride height, and each unit arrives pre-set to level the vehicle at installation.
The external remote reservoir increases total oil and nitrogen capacity over a standard shock body, helping the damper resist heat fade during sustained off-road use or heavy loading. This keeps compression and rebound damping consistent even as the shock works hard over repeated terrain.
Each coilover uses a black-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum cap and hardware, a 7/8″ hard chrome-plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, and PTFE-lined heat-treated spherical bearings for smooth, low-friction articulation. A redundant sealing pack system (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal) protects internal components from dirt and moisture. FOX® backs this product with a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

This coilover pair fits 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD and RWD trucks equipped with 6-lug wheels, providing 0-3in. of adjustable front lift once installed with an aftermarket or extended-travel upper control arm. This is the non-DSC Factory Series coilover (880-02-418) — it does not include the Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjustment knob found on FOX® part number 880-06-418, which is the DSC-equipped version of this same coilover. Confirm which adjustment feature set you need before ordering, as the two part numbers are not interchangeable in function.
