The FOX® 883-26-007 2.5 Factory Series Remote Reservoir Rear Shock Pair provides 0-1.5in. of rear lift with Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjustment for 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD and RWD trucks equipped with 6-lug wheels. The set includes two complete rear shock absorbers with external reservoirs and adjustable DSC knobs.
IMPORTANT: This is the 6-lug application only. Factory shock mounting bolts are reused for installation; shock boots and roost shields are sold separately and are not included in this kit.
FOX® 2.5 Factory Series shocks are derived from FOX’s off-road race shock designs, giving these bolt-on rear dampers race-proven performance for both stock and lifted trucks and SUVs. The 2.5″ smooth-bore, zinc-plated seamless steel body improves ride quality and control whether on pavement or off-road.
Each shock’s external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity for consistent damping and heat dissipation. A Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster lets the driver independently tune low-speed and high-speed compression damping to match load, terrain, and driving style, from comfortable street manners to aggressive off-road use.
Construction includes black-anodized CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum components, a 7/8″ hard chrome-plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, a race-developed high-flow piston, application-specific valving, and PTFE-lined heat-treated spherical bearings. A redundant sealing pack system (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal) protects internal components. FOX® backs this shock with a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

This shock pair fits 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD and RWD trucks equipped with 6-lug wheels, providing 0-1.5in. of rear lift with an adjustable DSC compression knob on each shock. Confirm 6-lug wheel configuration before ordering — this part number is not compatible with 5-lug Tacoma trucks, and it is a different application than FOX front coilover part numbers such as 880-02-418 or 880-06-418.
