IMPORTANT: This shock set uses an ES3 bottom mount (bottom mount part 213-27-002-B) and BP4 bar pin top mount — confirm your application uses this mounting configuration before ordering. Shock boots and roost shields are sold separately and are not included in this kit. This SKU is part of a shared FOX platform that also includes 883-26-018 and 883-26-038; these part numbers are not interchangeable, so verify 883-26-016 is the exact configuration your build requires before purchase.
The FOX® 2.5 Factory Series remote reservoir shock is built from FOX’s off-road race shock lineage, combining race-proven internals with features designed for daily-driven and trail-driven Jeep Wrangler JK applications. The remote reservoir design separates the working fluid from the main shock body, increasing oil and nitrogen capacity for more consistent damping performance during sustained off-road use.
The DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjuster gives the driver independent control over low-speed and high-speed compression damping. A simple twist of either of the two adjuster knobs provides twelve separate low-speed compression settings and ten high-speed compression settings, allowing the shock to be tuned for anything from smooth highway cruising to high-speed rough-terrain running.
The shock body is a 2.5″ smooth-bore, zinc-plated seamless steel construction with a double clear coating for corrosion resistance. Internal components are black-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the shaft is a 7/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel design for wear and corrosion resistance. FOX backs this shock set with a 1-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
