883-26-079 is a FOX® 2.5 Performance Elite Series DSC-adjustable rear reservoir shock pair (2 shocks with mounting hardware) with 8.79 inches of travel, engineered for 2019-2026 Ram 1500 4WD trucks running 0-2 inches of rear lift.
IMPORTANT: This shock pair is built for the current-generation (2019-2026) Ram 1500 DT-platform only. It does not fit the previous-generation (2009-2018) Ram 1500, Ram 1500 Classic, TRX models, or any Ram 1500 equipped with factory air ride suspension. Pre-2019 Ram 1500 and Ram 1500 Classic applications require FOX® part number 883-26-029 instead. This kit is designed for 0-2 inches of rear lift height and is sold as a pair (2 shocks).
FOX® Performance Elite Series 2.5 shocks are derived directly from the off-road race shock program at FOX®, adapted into a bolt-on reservoir shock for stock-height and mildly lifted trucks. Compared to a factory shock, the larger 2.5-inch body and external reservoir add oil and nitrogen capacity for more consistent damping when the terrain gets rough.
The 2.5-inch hard-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum body resists corrosion and holds up to sustained heat cycling, while the black-anodized billet aluminum reservoir components and 7/8-inch hard chrome-plated alloy steel shaft are built for repeated off-road use. A race-developed high-flow piston and application-specific valving are paired with a redundant seal pack (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal) and PTFE-lined, heat-treated spherical bearings to keep the shock sealed and smooth throughout its travel.
Each shock in the pair includes a Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster, giving separate low-speed and high-speed compression tuning so the ride can be dialed in for everything from daily driving to high-speed off-road use.
FOX® backs the 883-26-079 shock pair with a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase through an authorized FOX® dealer.

This shock pair covers all 2019-2020 and 2025-2026 Ram 1500 4WD trims, along with the following 2021-2024 Ram 1500 4WD trims: Big Horn (2021-2024), Big Horn Off-Road (2023), Hemi Sport (2021-2023), HFE (2021-2024), Laramie (2021-2024), Laramie Longhorn (2021), Laramie Sport (2021-2024), Limited (2021-2024), Limited Longhorn (2021-2024), Lone Star (2021-2024), Longhorn (2021-2024), Rebel (2021-2024), SLT (2021-2023), Special Service (2021), Sport (2021-2024), ST (2021), and Tradesman (2021-2024). All applications are 4WD with 0-2 inches of rear lift; TRX and air ride-equipped Ram 1500 models are excluded.
