FOX® part number 883-26-087 is a Performance Elite Series 2.5 Reservoir rear shock pair with a DSC (Dual-Speed Compression) external adjuster, engineered to deliver 2.5 to 4 inches of rear lift on standard trims, or up to 1 inch of additional rear lift on the factory-lifted Trail Boss and AT4 trims, across 2019-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD, 2019-2026 GMC Sierra 1500, and 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited applications.
IMPORTANT: On standard (non-Trail Boss/AT4) trims, this shock delivers 2.5 to 4 inches of rear lift and requires a minimum 2″ bump stop spacer and a 1″ lift block for proper installation — these are not included. Trail Boss and AT4 trims already sit higher from the factory, so this same shock delivers only up to 1 inch of additional rear lift on those trims and does not require the bump stop spacer or lift block. Vehicles running 0 to 2 inches of rear lift on non-Trail Boss/AT4 trims require FOX® part number 883-26-060 instead.
Performance Elite Series 2.5 Reservoir shocks bring FOX®’s off-road race-shock design to a smooth-body, reservoir-equipped platform built for trucks and SUVs. The external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity over a standard shock, improving damping consistency and reducing fade during sustained off-road use while giving the shock a race-inspired appearance.
Each shock uses a 2.5″ impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 hard-anodized aluminum body for corrosion resistance, paired with a 7/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft. A race-developed high-flow piston and application-specific valving are tuned for this platform, and a redundant three-stage seal pack — main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal — keeps contaminants out of the damping circuit. PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel spherical bearings are used at the mounts.
The DSC external adjuster allows on-the-fly tuning of low-speed compression damping without disassembly, letting the driver dial in ride quality for towing, hauling, or trail conditions. FOX® suspension products carry a limited one (1) year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.

This shock pair covers the GM 1500 platform — 2019-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2022 Silverado 1500 LTD, 2019-2026 GMC Sierra 1500, and 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited — delivering 2.5 to 4 inches of rear lift on standard trims, or up to 1 inch of additional rear lift on the already-taller Trail Boss and AT4 trims. Standard trims require a 2″ bump stop spacer and 1″ lift block for proper installation, and vehicles running only 0 to 2 inches of rear lift on standard (non-Trail Boss/AT4) trims should order FOX® part number 883-26-060 instead.
