The FOX® 883-26-117 is a 2.5 Performance Elite Series rear reservoir shock pair with a Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster, built for 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra trucks running 0 to 1.5 inches of rear lift.
IMPORTANT: This SKU is valved specifically for 0-1.5in of rear lift. FOX also offers this same Performance Elite Series rear shock valved for 2-3in of rear lift (883-26-118) and a Factory Race Series rear shock for this same 0-1.5in lift range (883-26-006) — these are not interchangeable. Confirm your truck’s actual rear lift height before ordering. FOX direct-replacement shocks should always be installed as a matched set. Sold as a pair (2 shocks).
Performance Elite Series 2.5 Reservoir shocks are FOX’s direct-replacement rear shock for the Tundra, designed to improve ride quality and control both on-road and off. The design carries over race-proven technology from FOX’s off-road race shocks, tuned specifically for bolt-on installation on stock and mildly lifted trucks.
The external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity over the shock body alone, improving heat management and maintaining consistent damping under sustained load. Each shock uses a Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster, giving 12 clicks of high-speed compression adjustment and 10 clicks of low-speed compression adjustment so damping can be tuned independently for pavement, trail, or rock-crawling conditions.
The shock body is a 2.5in impact-extruded, CNC-machined 6061-T6 Type III anodized aluminum body paired with a 7/8in hard chrome-plated steel shaft. Sealing is handled by a redundant sealing pack system: a main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal work together to keep contaminants out of the shock. FOX’s standard one-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.
