IMPORTANT: This pair includes (2) front shocks with external reservoir brackets and a DSC compression adjuster on each unit. Confirm your JK’s front lift height falls within the 2.5-4 inch range before ordering, as FOX offers separate Performance Elite Series applications for other lift heights that are not interchangeable with this part number.
The Performance Elite Series 2.5 Reservoir shock is FOX’s smooth body remote-reservoir platform built for Jeep Wrangler JK owners who want race-derived damping without stepping up to a fully rebuildable coilover. The design is pulled directly from FOX’s off-road race shocks, then adapted into a bolt-on package for trucks and SUVs.
The 2.5-inch impact-extruded, CNC-machined 6061-T6 hard-anodized aluminum body resists corrosion and dissipates heat faster than a steel-bodied shock. A 7/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft rides on PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel spherical bearings, and a redundant sealing pack (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal) keeps contaminants out of the damper.
Each shock in this pair includes a DSC (Dual Speed Control) external adjuster, letting you independently tune low-speed and high-speed compression damping to match your driving style and terrain without removing the shock from the vehicle. The external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity over a standard remote-reservoir shock, improving fade resistance on long, rough trails.
Internals use a race-developed high-flow piston with application-specific valving for the JK platform. Each shock includes its reservoir mounting bracket. FOX backs the Performance Elite Series with the FOX® Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship.

This 2.5 Performance Elite Series reservoir shock pair is built specifically for the front of 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models running 2.5-4 inches of front lift, with a DSC adjuster on each shock for on-vehicle compression tuning. This is a front-only pair; it does not include rear shocks, and it is not interchangeable with FOX’s non-DSC Performance or Factory Series 2.0 shocks for the JK platform, which use a different body diameter and do not include the external compression adjuster.
