Part number 883-26-092 is the FOX® 2.5 Performance Elite Series reservoir rear shock set, built for 2.5–4 inch lifted 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models and sold as a pair.
IMPORTANT: This shock set uses a Bar Pin top mount and Eyelet bottom mount with PTFE-lined spherical bearings — confirm your application uses this mounting configuration before ordering. This is a Performance Elite Series shock, a distinct product line from FOX’s Factory Series DSC-adjustable rear shocks (such as 883-26-016) — the two are not interchangeable and use different valving.
The FOX® 2.5 Performance Elite Series reservoir shock is built from the same off-road race shock lineage as FOX’s other Truck & SUV shocks, delivering enhanced ride quality and control for stock and lifted Jeep Wrangler JK applications heading off the pavement.
The external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity over a standard monotube design, improving heat dissipation and delivering more consistent damping performance during sustained off-road use, while also giving the shock a race-inspired look.
The shock body is a 2.5″ impact-extruded, CNC-machined 6061-T6 hard-anodized aluminum construction for corrosion resistance. Components are black-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the shaft is a 7/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel design. The shock uses a race-developed high-flow piston with application-specific valving and PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel spherical bearings at the mounts. FOX backs this shock set with a 1-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
