Part number 987-24-066 is a FOX® 2.5 Performance Series IFP front shock absorber built for 1999-2026 Toyota Land Cruiser LC76, LC78, and LC79 models running 0-2 inches of front lift, with stem-top and stem-bottom mounting and one shock absorber included per box.
IMPORTANT: This shock is valved specifically for 0-2 inches of front lift. If your Land Cruiser is running 2.5-4 inches of front lift, use FOX® part number 987-24-069 instead. Installing the wrong lift-height variant will result in incorrect ride height and compromised damping performance.
FOX® 2.5 Performance Series shocks for the Land Cruiser are a bolt-on upgrade with vehicle-specific valving and a larger piston to improve both on-road comfort and off-road control. They restore or set ride height within the listed lift range without straining ball joints or steering linkages, preserving OEM-like handling behavior.
Each shock is a monotube design with a type II anodized aluminum body that dissipates heat efficiently and resists corrosion. The 2.5-inch shock body uses an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen charge, keeping damping consistent under load.
