FOX® part number 987-02-006 is a Performance Series 2.5 Coil-Over IFP front shock with HD tune, delivering 0-3in of lift for 2024-2026 Ford Ranger LARIAT, XL, and XLT 4WD models and 2024-2025 Ranger WILDTRAK models.
IMPORTANT: This front shock is built for the next-generation (2024+) Ford Ranger platform and is not interchangeable with FOX® 985-02-133, which covers the previous-generation 2019-2023 Ranger. It pairs with FOX® 987-24-073 (rear, 1.5-2.5in lift) for a matched front/rear application; FOX® also offers 987-24-068 (rear, 0-1in lift) for the same trucks running less lift in back, so confirm your intended lift height before ordering the rear shock. This front shock also fits the 2022-2023 Ford Ranger sold in international markets, but does not fit any 2022-2023 Ford Ranger sold in North America, since that model year range was not offered domestically. Sold individually – one shock is needed per front corner.
FOX® Performance Series 2.5 coil-over and smooth-body Internal Floating Piston (IFP) shocks are a bolt-on solution tuned for the Ford Ranger. They level the vehicle without straining ball joints or linkages, maintaining OEM reliability and vehicle behavior.
A type II anodized aluminum body efficiently dissipates heat and prevents corrosion. The shock body features an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) that separates the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen charge, optimizing damping consistency.
This shock uses an HD tune specific to the Ford Ranger application. All FOX® shocks are fully serviceable and re-valveable, built to last the vehicle’s lifetime, and backed by FOX®’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

This shock is application-specific to the next-generation Ford Ranger platform, covering 2024-2026 LARIAT, XL, and XLT 4WD and 2024-2025 WILDTRAK models at 0-3in of front lift. Note: This part fits the 2024-2026 North American Ranger (2024-2025 for WILDTRAK) and the 2022-2023 international-market Ranger only. It does not fit any 2022-2023 North American Ford Ranger or the previous-generation 2019-2023 Ranger, which requires FOX® 985-02-133.
