FOX® part number 987-24-073 is a Performance Series 2.5 IFP rear shock delivering 1.5-2.5in of lift for 2024-2026 Ford Ranger LARIAT, XL, and XLT 4WD models and 2024-2025 Ranger WILDTRAK models.
IMPORTANT: This is the 1.5-2.5in lift rear shock for the next-generation (2024+) Ford Ranger. FOX® also offers 987-24-068, a 0-1in lift rear shock for the same trucks – confirm which lift height matches your build before ordering, as the two are not interchangeable. This rear shock pairs with FOX® 987-02-006 (front, 0-3in lift) for a matched front/rear application. It is built for the next-generation Ranger platform and does not fit the previous-generation 2019-2023 Ranger. Sold individually – one shock is needed per rear corner.
FOX® Performance Series 2.5 shocks for the Ford Ranger are a bolt-on solution with vehicle-specific valving and larger pistons to improve on- and off-road performance. They level the vehicle without straining ball joints or linkages, maintaining OEM reliability and vehicle behavior.
This monotube shock uses a type II anodized aluminum body that efficiently dissipates heat and prevents corrosion. The 2.5-inch shock body features an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) that separates the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen charge, optimizing damping.
The bolt-on Performance Series 2.5 shock rides in comfort while increasing damping capacity. It is fully serviceable and re-valveable, built to last the vehicle’s lifetime, and backed by FOX®’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
