Part number 987-24-052 is a FOX® 2.5 Performance Series IFP rear shock, sold individually, engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for 2024–2026 Toyota Tacoma trucks running 0–1.5 inches of rear lift.
IMPORTANT: This shock does not fit leaf-spring Toyota Tacoma trucks. It is the rear companion to FOX® part number 987-02-008 (2.5 Performance Series front shock) for this same Tacoma generation; the two are sold separately and should be ordered together for a complete front-and-rear 2.5 Performance Series setup.
FOX® 2.5 Performance Series shocks for the Toyota Tacoma are a bolt-on solution with vehicle-specific valving and larger pistons to improve on- and off-road performance. They level the vehicle without straining ball joints or linkages, maintaining OEM reliability and vehicle behavior.
Monotube shocks utilize Type II anodized aluminum bodies, efficiently dissipating heat and preventing corrosion. The 2.5-inch shock body features an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen, optimizing damping.
Bolt-on 2.5 Performance Series shocks ride in comfort and increase damping capacity, engineered to offer the benefits of a 2.5-inch shock without the complexity of a reservoir or compression adjuster. FOX® backs this shock with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
