Part number 883-26-050 is a pair of FOX® 2.5 Performance Elite Series front shock absorbers, designed for 2–3 inch lifted applications on the 2020–2026 Jeep Gladiator (all trims, excluding Mojave) and the 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler (all trims, excluding Mojave).

IMPORTANT: Gladiator fitment (2020–2026, all model years) requires hardware kit PN: 803-02-124, which is sold separately and must be purchased for proper installation. Wrangler fitment (2018–2025, all trims) does not require this kit. 2026 Jeep Wrangler fitment includes a universal bracket. This shock does not fit the Mojave trim on either the Wrangler or Gladiator.

The FOX® 2.5 Performance Elite Series is a reservoir smooth body shock designed to deliver race-derived damping performance in a bolt-on package. The design lineage traces directly to FOX’s off-road race shocks, adapted and tuned for factory and lifted truck and SUV applications. The external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen gas capacity compared to a standard monotube or twin-tube shock, providing improved heat dissipation and more consistent damping performance under sustained or aggressive use.

At the core of the 883-26-050 is a 2.5-inch impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum body with a hard-anodized finish. The 7/8-inch hard chrome plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft works in conjunction with a race-developed high-flow piston design and application-specific valving tuned for this vehicle platform and lift range. A redundant sealing pack—comprising a main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal—is used to protect the internals and extend service life. Eyelet-style mounts are used at both the top and bottom.

Component quality throughout is consistent with FOX’s performance tier. All black-anodized CNC-machined components are produced from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. Bearings are PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel spherical units at both mount ends. FOX covers the 2.5 Performance Elite Series under a limited lifetime warranty for the original retail purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use on the designed vehicle application (for units purchased after 3/30/2025). This shock is sold individually.
