The FOX® 883-26-096 Performance Elite Series 2.5 Reservoir Shock is a rear-position, piggyback-reservoir shock pair with a Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster, engineered for the Ford Super Duty F-250 (2017-2026, all 4WD trims) and F-350 (2017-2026 on XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum; 2018-2024 on Limited) running 0-1.5 inches of rear lift.
IMPORTANT: This kit (883-26-096) is designed specifically for the 0-1.5″ rear lift height range. FOX offers a separate rear kit, 883-26-100, for the 4-6″ rear lift height range — do not substitute between these SKUs. This is a rear-only kit; the matching front pair for the same 0-1.5″ lift application is FOX 883-26-095, sold separately. This kit is sold as a pair (two shocks).
The FOX® Performance Elite Series 2.5 Reservoir Shock delivers an upgraded, bolt-on suspension solution for the Ford Super Duty, built to improve off-road capability and towing stability while keeping the truck comfortable and controlled on the daily commute.
At the core of the Performance Elite Series is a 2.5″ impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 Type III anodized aluminum shock body paired with a 2.5″ smooth bore, honed seamless alloy reservoir. The external reservoir increases oil capacity, which helps the shock dissipate heat more efficiently during sustained off-road or towing use, and a larger, high-flow piston increases bottom-out resistance and damping across any terrain.
The reservoir features a Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster, giving the driver independent control over low-speed and high-speed compression damping to fine-tune the ride for pavement, towing, or trail use. Vehicle-specific valving is applied at the factory to match the Ford Super Duty’s weight and suspension geometry, and the remote reservoirs are mounted to clear aggressive tires at full lock.
Construction includes 7/8″ hard chrome-plated steel shafts and a redundant sealing pack system (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal) for long-term durability. FOX® 2.5 Performance Series products purchased after March 30, 2025 carry FOX’s Limited Lifetime Warranty; products purchased prior to that date are covered under FOX’s standard Limited One (1) Year suspension warranty. This kit fits the Ford Super Duty rear axle at 0-1.5″ of lift with a Dual Speed Compression adjuster. F-250 Super Duty coverage is 2017-2026 across all 4WD trims, including Tremor-equipped trucks. F-350 Super Duty coverage is 2017-2026 on XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims; Limited trim coverage runs 2018-2024 only, with no 2025 or 2026 Limited fitment listed.
This SKU (883-26-096) is built specifically for 0-1.5″ of rear lift and is not interchangeable with FOX 883-26-100, which is built for 4-6″ of rear lift. Confirm your truck’s actual rear lift height before ordering, and pair this kit with FOX 883-26-095 for the matching front application.
