Description
883-26-085 is a FOX® 2.5 Performance Elite Series rear shock pair with a piggyback external reservoir and DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjuster, engineered for 2020-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD and 2020-2026 GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks running 0″-1″ of lift.
IMPORTANT: This listing is for the REAR shock pair only (two shocks) — it does not include front shocks, which are sold separately under a different FOX® part number. This SKU is calibrated specifically for 0″-1″ of rear lift; FOX® offers separate Performance Elite 2.5 part numbers for other lift heights on this same platform, and installing the wrong lift-height variant will result in incorrect ride height and handling. Confirm your actual measured lift before ordering.
FOX® Performance Elite Series shocks are derived directly from FOX’s off-road race shock program, bringing race-proven damping technology to a bolt-on truck application. The external reservoir separates oil from high-pressure nitrogen gas, increasing total oil and nitrogen capacity over a standard monotube shock for more consistent damping under sustained loads and repeated impacts.
Each shock uses a 2.5″ impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 hard-anodized aluminum body paired with a race-developed high-flow piston and application-specific valving tuned for this exact GM HD platform. The DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjuster on the reservoir gives 12 high-speed and 10 low-speed compression settings, allowing independent tuning of small-bump compliance and big-hit control without changing the shock’s rebound characteristics.
Internal components are black-anodized CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the 7/8″ shaft is hard chrome plated over heat-treated alloy steel for wear resistance. A redundant sealing pack — main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal — combines with PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel spherical bearings at the mounts to control contamination and extend service life. FOX® backs this shock under its Truck & Motorsports suspension product warranty.

This pair covers the rear axle on 2020-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD and 2020-2026 GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD, specifically for trucks sitting at 0″-1″ of lift. This is the REAR-only, 0″-1″ lift application — it is not interchangeable with FOX’s front shock for this platform or with other Performance Elite 2.5 part numbers calibrated for taller lift heights. Verify your truck’s actual rear lift height against this range before purchasing.
