DTC-70 is a Hawk Performance® Motorsports brake pad compound. Hawk Performance® engineered it for extremely high torque and a highly aggressive initial bite, for cars with high deceleration rates, with or without downforce. It offers superior release and control characteristics, and Hawk Performance® positions it as a race solution on its own or as split friction with DTC-60.
Hawk Performance® describes DTC-70 as a high performance, high torque compound with superior rotor and pad wear and excellent modulation and release characteristics. Hawk Performance® lists these applications: NASCAR/NASCAR modified, ARCA, Super Late models, pavement circle track, Pro 2/Pro 4 Off Road Trucks/Pro Lite, Sports Car/GT/GS, Open Wheel/Formula and Monster Trucks. DTC-70 has an 800-1200 F optimal temperature range and 400-1600 F operating temperatures.
The HB551 backing plate shape measures 6.11 in. (155 mm) x 2.69 in. (68 mm) (inner/outer), with a total pad thickness of 0.748 in. (19 mm) including core and friction material. Hawk Performance® pads are designed to work with iron/metal rotors only. Proper bed-in per the Hawk Performance® installation and bed-in procedure is required for best performance. Warranty: Hawk Performance® Street Performance Limited Lifetime Warranty: warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty does not apply to normal wear or to damage caused by negligence, lack of maintenance, accident, abnormal operations, or improper installation or service. All warranty claims are processed through Hawk Performance®, and valid claims are replaced or reimbursed with Hawk Performance® brake pads of equal or greater value.
