The Hawk Performance® HB828B.760 is a High Performance Street 5.0 (HPS 5.0) front brake pad set, 0.760 in. thick, for the front axle of 2012-2021 BMW M2 CS, M2 Competition, M4 GTS, M5, M6 and M6 Gran Coupe models. It is sold as one axle set (2-wheel set) and includes the brake pads for one axle; hardware, clips, shims and wear sensors are not listed as included.
IMPORTANT: All Hawk Performance® compounds are not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. Hawk Performance® pads are designed to work with Iron/Metal rotors. Do not install these pads on a vehicle with carbon ceramic rotors. This is a front pad. The BMW M4 GTS came with carbon ceramic brakes as standard equipment; Hawk Performance® lists it for this pad, which is for use with Iron/Metal rotors only. On the M2 CS, M5, M6 and M6 Gran Coupe, Hawk Performance® lists this pad for vehicles without ceramic composite brakes. The 2021 M2 Competition is listed for vehicles built both before and after 07/2020. This listing is for the HPS 5.0 compound only. High Performance Street 5.0 pads give your vehicle the greatest stopping power and pedal feel without compromising ABS. HPS 5.0 is a Ferro-Carbon compound that provides advanced braking characteristics to enhance the driving experience.
This compound combines the safety and quality of aerospace design with the braking technology of motorsports. The results are shorter stopping distances, improved performance under heavy braking conditions, and street car friendly characteristics. Hawk Performance® rates HPS 5.0 for an operating temperature range of 100-750 F, with an optimal range of 100-550 F.
This pad set is covered by the Hawk Performance® Street Performance Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty excludes normal wear and damage caused by negligence, lack of maintenance, accident, abnormal operation, or improper installation or service. Warranty claims are processed through Hawk Performance®, and approved claims are replaced or reimbursed with Hawk Performance® pads of equal or greater value.
