Hawk Performance® HB183B.585 HPS 5.0 brake pads are a rear brake pad set for 1994-2001 and 2003-2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra, Cobra, GT Bullitt and Mach 1, in the HB183 pad shape at 0.585 in thick. The box contains one axle set (2-wheel set) of Hawk Performance® HPS 5.0 brake pads.
IMPORTANT: These are rear pads. Fitment: Ford Mustang SVT Cobra 1994-1999, 2001, 2003-2004; Ford Mustang Cobra 1996-2001; Ford Mustang GT Bullitt 2001; Ford Mustang SVT Cobra 10th Anniversary 2003; Ford Mustang Mach 1 2003-2004 (rear axle). All Hawk Performance® compounds are not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. Hawk Performance® pads are designed to work with iron/metal rotors. Other Hawk Performance® compounds in the HB183 shape are sold separately: HB183Z.585 (Performance Ceramic, extremely quiet ultra-low dust street), HB183N.660 (HP Plus, street and track day with more dust and noise; 0.660 in thick, with its own vehicle list). This listing is one axle set (2-wheel set); hardware, clips, shims and wear sensors are not listed as included.

Hawk Performance® lists these HPS 5.0 characteristics: aggressive torque, great rotor and pad wear life, smooth and predictable control, high deceleration rates, and consistent brake release characteristics for a smooth braking feel. Hawk Performance® rates HPS 5.0 for 100-750 F operating temperatures, with a 100-550 F optimal temperature range.
HB183B.585 uses the HB183 pad shape at 0.585 in thick, measuring 3.53 in x 1.94 in, with FMSI reference D627. Dimensions are given in inches as published on the Hawk Performance® factory diagram. Hawk Performance® also cross-references the HB183 shape to these aftermarket calipers: Baer IronSport.
Hawk Performance® pads are covered by the Hawk Performance® Street Performance Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty excludes normal wear and damage from negligence, lack of maintenance, accident, abnormal operation, or improper installation or service. Claims are processed through Hawk Performance®, and approved claims are replaced or reimbursed with Hawk Performance® pads of equal or greater value.
