Part number 985-24-164 is the FOX® 2.0 Performance Series smooth body remote reservoir front shock for 2017-2026 Ford F-250 Super Duty and F-350 Super Duty 4WD trucks, with 11.12 inches of travel and a billet reservoir clamp included.
IMPORTANT: Lift height for this shock varies by model year and trim. On 2017-2019 trucks it fits 6 inch front lift; on 2020-2026 non-Tremor trucks it fits 7 inch front lift; on 2020-2026 Tremor package trucks it fits 5 inch front lift. FOX® also offers this same front position in two other lift heights for the same 2017-2026 platform: part number 985-24-161 (1-2 inch lift, 0 inch on Tremor) and part number 985-24-162 (2.5-3.5 inch lift, 1-1.5 inch on Tremor). The aluminum-bodied Performance Series 2.0 Reservoir shock delivers race-proven damping technology from FOX® in a bolt-on package. Its 2.0 inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body dissipates heat faster than a conventional steel-bodied shock, helping maintain consistent damping performance during sustained off-road use or towing.
An external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity beyond what a standard monotube shock can hold, further improving heat dissipation and fade resistance. The included black-anodized billet reservoir clamp and other components are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum for durability.
A race-developed high-flow damping piston paired with application-specific valving delivers predictable ride quality over rough terrain. The 5/8 inch shaft is hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel, sealed by a redundant sealing pack with main, wiper, and scraper seals, and the shock is backed by the FOX® Limited Lifetime Warranty.
