Part number 985-02-103 is a FOX® 2.0 Performance Series IFP coil-over shock for the front position, delivering 4.59 inches of travel and 0-2 inches of front lift, built for 2015-2022 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon 4WD trucks.
IMPORTANT: This part number is sold individually (one shock per unit) – two are required for a complete front axle installation. This is a FRONT application shock only; a separate rear shock is required to complete a front-to-rear coil-over setup on these trucks. Fitment covers 2015-2022 Chevrolet Colorado (LT, LTZ, WT, Z71, Z71 LT trims) and 2015-2022 GMC Canyon (Base, SLE, SLT, Denali, All Terrain trims) in 4WD configuration at the 0-2 inch front lift height – confirm your exact year, trim, and lift height before ordering. This bolt-on Performance Series coil-over IFP shock installs with no modifications and is designed to level the truck front-to-rear, working with the stock front fender opening. It re-uses the factory mounting points and is engineered for either a stock-height truck or one running a front leveling lift within the 0-2 inch range covered by this part number.
Inside the shock, an internal reservoir with Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design separates the shock oil from a high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber. This eliminates oil aeration, allowing the factory-tuned, application-specific valving to deliver consistent damping performance. The precision, impact-extruded 2.0-inch 6061-T6 aluminum body is CNC machined and clear-anodized, increasing cooling capacity and resisting corrosion compared to a steel-bodied shock.
Locking spring preload rings allow easy ride height and preload adjustment on the included racing coil spring, selected to deliver the correct spring rate for this application. The vehicle-specific upper mount uses a composite bushing to isolate road noise and vibration. Construction includes a 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft, large-diameter heavy-duty spherical bearings, and a redundant sealing pack with main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal for long service life.
