FOX® part number 985-02-133 is a Performance Series 2.0 Coil-Over IFP front shock delivering 0-3in of lift, engineered specifically for U.S.-spec 2019-2023 Ford Ranger models.
IMPORTANT: This shock is built for U.S.-market 2019-2023 Ford Ranger models only and does not fit Rest-of-World (ROW) Ranger variants, which use FOX® part number 985-02-148 (2-3in lift, ROW only). It also does not fit 2024 and newer Ford Ranger models, which are built on the next-generation platform and require FOX® 2.5 Performance Series shocks (part number 987-02-006 front). Sold individually – one shock is needed per front corner.
This bolt-on, Performance Series Coil-Over IFP shock is loaded with advanced technology. The precision, metal impact-extruded aluminum body increases cooling capacity and is rust resistant. The vehicle-specific upper mount includes a composite bushing that isolates noise and vibration.
Locking, spring preload rings allow easy ride height and preload adjustment while retaining a top-quality racing coil, selected to deliver the optimal spring rate. Performance Series Coil-Over IFP shocks bolt on with no modifications and are designed to level the truck front-to-rear. Applications are available for stock and lifted trucks that re-use the stock shock.
Inside, an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) mono-tube design separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber, eliminating oil aeration and allowing maximum performance from the factory-tuned, precision valving. The 2.0″ body is impact extruded and CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a clear-anodized finish, paired with a 5/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft and large-diameter, heavy-duty spherical bearings. FOX® backs this shock with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

This shock is application-specific to U.S.-market 2019-2023 Ford Ranger trucks in the front position, delivering 0-3in of lift across all trims, drive types, and cab configurations. Note: This part fits U.S.-spec, previous-generation (2019-2023) Ranger models only. It is not interchangeable with FOX® 985-02-148 (ROW-market Ranger, 2-3in lift) or with FOX® 987-02-006, the front shock used on the next-generation 2024 and newer Ford Ranger.
