Description
The FOX® 985-24-106 2.0 Performance Series shock is a 14.12-inch travel, smooth-body rear shock with an external remote reservoir, fitting 2005-2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks at 4-6in of rear lift.
IMPORTANT: This shock is built for 4-6in of rear lift. Trucks running stock to 1in of lift should see FOX® part number 985-24-104 instead. FOX® direct-replacement smooth body shocks should always be installed as a pair for consistent handling.
The aluminum-bodied Performance Series 2.0 Reservoir smooth body shock delivers FOX’s race-developed damping performance in an affordable, hassle-free bolt-on package. Its heat-reducing design uses a metal-impacted, clear-anodized aluminum shock body that dissipates heat faster than a conventional steel-body shock.
The external reservoir adds oil and nitrogen capacity while giving the shock a distinct race look. The included black-anodized reservoir mounting clamp and other components are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. A race-developed high-flow damping piston matched with application-specific valving delivers predictable ride quality capable of handling rough road conditions.
The shock body is 2.0″ impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum that resists rust over time, with a clear-anodized finish for durability. The shaft is 5/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel, sealed with a redundant sealing pack system (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal). FOX® backs this shock with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
