The FOX® 985-02-146 is a 2.0 Performance Series 4.9in IFP Coilover Shock, a front-position, bolt-on unit for 0-2in of lift, fitting 2021-2026 Ford F-150 4WD models.
IMPORTANT: FOX® does not recommend this shock for Hybrid or Tremor submodels — confirm your F-150 is not a Hybrid or Tremor build before ordering. This is the direct bolt-on coilover version of this application; a Snap Ring version that reuses your stock spring and mounting hardware is also available for the same trucks under FOX® part number 985-62-013. One (1) shock, sold individually; rear shocks sold separately.
Engineered for the 14th-generation F-150, this bolt-on coilover and IFP shock package is designed to level or raise the truck’s stance without adding strain to ball joints or other linkages that could compromise reliability or on-road behavior.
A 2.0in diameter monotube damper gives the shock significantly more capacity than the factory unit, with an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) keeping shock fluid and pressurized gas fully separated. That separation holds up to rough terrain without losing consistent damping, while application-specific valving delivers a connected, comfortable on-road ride with reduced body sway — including under towing loads, where the larger piston helps keep everything in check.
FOX® Performance Series shocks are impact-forged from aluminum, which FOX® states dissipates heat roughly four times faster than a factory-painted steel twin-tube shock while resisting corrosion far better. Every FOX® shock is fully serviceable and re-valveable, and this unit carries FOX®’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
