FOX® part number 883-26-036 is a rear pair of 2.5″ Factory Race Series piggyback reservoir shocks with a DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjuster, engineered for 0″-1″ of lift on 2015-2022 Chevrolet Colorado and 2015-2022 GMC Canyon 4WD models.

IMPORTANT: This listing is for the REAR shock pair only — front shocks/coilovers are sold separately and are not included. Confirm your Colorado or Canyon’s trim and drivetrain against the fitment list below before ordering, as fitment varies by trim year and this shock is designed for 0″-1″ of rear lift only; it is not compatible with vehicles running a different lift height. The external reservoirs must be mounted with the DSC adjuster knobs left accessible for tuning after installation.

FOX® Factory Race Series 2.5 Reservoir shocks bring race-proven damping technology from FOX®’s off-road racing program to a direct bolt-on truck application. The piggyback reservoir design separates the working fluid from the nitrogen charge, giving the shock more oil and gas capacity than a standard smooth-body shock for more consistent damping control on rough terrain.

The shock body is a 2.5″ smooth-bore, zinc-plated seamless steel body finished with a double clear coat for long-term corrosion resistance. Internally, FOX®’s race-developed high-flow piston and application-specific valving are matched to the Colorado and Canyon’s suspension geometry, and a redundant sealing pack — main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal — keeps contaminants out of the shock body.

Each shock is fitted with a DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjuster on the reservoir, giving independent low-speed and high-speed compression damping adjustment so the ride can be tuned from a comfort-oriented setup to a firmer, more controlled off-road setting without removing the shock from the vehicle.

Components are black-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the shaft is a 7/8″ hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel piece for wear resistance. The shock pivots on PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel spherical bearings at each eyelet mount. This shock is covered by FOX®’s limited one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Coverage spans multiple trim levels across the 2015-2022 Colorado and 2015-2022 Canyon model years, with exact year ranges varying by trim — Chevrolet Colorado LT, WT, and Z71 run 2015-2022, LTZ is 2015 only, and Z71 LT covers 2021-2022; GMC Canyon Base, SLE, SLT, and All Terrain run through 2020, Denali covers 2017-2020, and the 2021-2022 Canyon (unspecified sub-trim) is also covered. This is the 0″-1″ lift rear shock — do not confuse it with FOX® rear shocks calibrated for a different lift range, which use a different part number and are not interchangeable with this application.
