Description
Part number 883-26-090 is a FOX® 2.5 Performance Elite Series rear shock pair with an external DSC (Dual Speed Compression) reservoir, built for 0″-2″ lift applications on 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models.
IMPORTANT: This listing is for the REAR shock pair only, designed for 0″-2″ of lift. FOX offers separate Performance Elite rear shock part numbers for different lift heights on this platform, and front shocks/coilovers are sold separately under different FOX part numbers — confirm your lift height before ordering. This shock is built for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK only. It does NOT fit the 2018-and-up Jeep Wrangler JL, which uses a different FOX Performance Elite shock line with its own part numbers (e.g., 883-26-049 through 883-26-056 series).
FOX Performance Elite Series 2.5 Reservoir shocks are smooth-body, externally adjustable shocks derived from FOX’s off-road race shock architecture, delivering enhanced ride quality and control for stock and lifted Jeep Wrangler JK applications.
The 2.5″ shock body is impact-extruded and CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and hard-anodized for corrosion resistance and a durable finish. The external piggyback reservoir adds oil and nitrogen capacity to manage heat buildup and resist fade, while each shock uses a race-developed high-flow piston with application-specific valving for tuned damping performance.
The reservoir houses a DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjuster, giving independent external control over low-speed and high-speed compression damping so the shock can be dialed in from daily-driver comfort to aggressive off-road use without disassembly.
The 7/8″ shock shaft is hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel, sealed with a redundant pack (main seal, wiper seal, scraper seal) to keep contaminants out in harsh off-road conditions. Mounting is bar pin at the top and eyelet at the bottom, with PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel spherical bearings at the mount points. This shock pair is backed by FOX’s limited lifetime warranty on 2.0 & 2.5 Performance Series products, covering factory defects in material and workmanship under normal use, excluding finish and coatings.

This rear shock pair fits 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler (all sub-models, drivetrains, fuel types, and door configurations) and the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK specifically, for vehicles running 0″-2″ of lift. The “JK” designation is called out for 2018 because that was the final model year of the JK-generation Wrangler, sold alongside the all-new JL — the part itself is built for the JK chassis throughout 2007-2018. This shock does not fit the 2018-and-up Jeep Wrangler JL, which requires a different FOX Performance Elite shock and a different part number. Front shocks for this application are sold separately under their own FOX part number.
